Quiz: Happy Birthday, Harry Potter.

In honor of Harry Potter’s Birfday here’s a quiz.

Hope he’s out there in a parallel literary universe having some butterbeer with his wizard peeps or whatever it is that grown up wizards do for a birthday.

Then there’s the Thin Line between Creativity and Plagiarism…

So it turns out J.K. Rowling, whose real name doesn’t really have a “K” in it *, is being sued for plagarism by estate of Adrian Jacobs. The Estate claims that Rowling stole her ideas for Harry Potter from Jacobs’ “Willy the Wizard” books. Rowling’s camp has remained mum about the whole matter but this’ll be a doozy for next few months I’m sure and we’ll probably be hearing lots of wizard jokes from the press and CHEEZY headlines.

Losers are winners per J.K. Rowling's Philosophy

According to J.K. Rowling’s Commencement address at Harvard, losers are winners. She recounted the story that we all know: broke single mother writes book and becomes richer than the Queen. There’s a lot more in between but basically that’s the gist of it. She focuses more on the liberating powers of writing.
